Privacy

Privacy. Clearly explained.

Your content stays under your control. Here is how Lensivo handles it.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Lensivo processes media locally on your Mac. It does not automatically send recordings to the developer. No accounts, ads, or analytics SDKs.

Scope and media

This policy covers Lensivo: Screen Recorder for macOS and this website. The app processes camera images for preview and optional recording, the screen, window or region you choose, and microphone or system audio when enabled. These sources may contain personal or sensitive information.

Local processing and storage

Media is processed on your Mac, not automatically sent to the developer or an app-operated server. Lensivo has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs; the developer does not sell recording data. Recordings are initially written to local application support storage, then saved to your chosen folder. Interrupted or unsaved recordings and optional audio outputs may remain in the recovery area, where you can inspect, export or delete them in Settings. Recovery is not guaranteed. Camera and microphone identifiers, quality, appearance, shortcuts and a security-scoped bookmark for your save folder are stored locally as preferences.

Permissions and your choices

macOS controls access to your camera, microphone, screen and system audio. Lensivo uses the sources you enable and the folder you choose. You can disable optional sources in the app and revoke access in System Settings → Privacy & Security; this may prevent the related feature from working. Stopping a recording ends that recording session. A separately enabled camera preview may continue until you close it or quit the app.

Retention, deletion and diagnostics

Saved files remain until you delete them in Finder. Recovery files may remain until exported or deleted through Lensivo Settings; preferences remain until reset or removed. Uninstalling alone may not delete exports or all local data. If your folder uses iCloud or another backup/sync service, copies follow that provider’s settings and policy. You decide whether to share exports; the developer cannot recover or delete files it never receives. Lensivo writes limited local macOS diagnostic messages, such as recording state and error domain/code, without intentionally logging recording content or private paths. It does not automatically send these logs to the developer. macOS may separately generate system or crash diagnostics under your Apple privacy settings.

Support and privacy requests

If you email the developer, your email address and whatever you include—such as your name, message, screenshots or diagnostics—are received and used to answer your request and investigate reported issues. They are kept for handling requests and necessary support records, subject to applicable obligations; they are not sold or used for advertising. Email providers process delivery. Only include information necessary for your request. Contact the developer for correction, deletion or applicable privacy rights. There is no support submission server on this website: email links open your email app; you choose whether to send. After a support request is resolved, correspondence and attachments are deleted when they are no longer needed to follow up on the request, investigate the reported issue, or meet applicable legal obligations. Where continued retention is necessary, only the information needed for that purpose is retained.

This website, services and changes

This website has no advertising trackers, analytics scripts or marketing cookies. Your language choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage and can be cleared in browser settings. Illustrations do not access your camera, microphone or screen. The public site is prepared for GitHub Pages; GitHub may process technical requests such as IP address and browser information to serve and protect the site. App Store, email, backup and sharing services have their own privacy practices. This policy may change when features or data handling change; the date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be described here and, where appropriate, in release information.
